Empowerment through Education

As a scholar of Pag-asa ng Pamilya, Anthony earned his Bachelor of Science in elementary education degree at the Binangonan catholic college, in Binangonan, Rizal.

Coming from a family of modest means, Anthony knew his ticket to a more comfortable life was a college education.

His dream started to come true when he received a Pag-asa scholarship. And he wasted no time to be worthy of such a generous grant.

He shares, “I think all of us, we dream of going to school and being able to graduate. But you can’t reach your goal without hard work.”

He adds, “It’s such a great feeling to achieve your goals in life because you worked hard for them.”

The college education he earned through Pag-asa has motivated Anthony to work even harder to and a job and pursue a career.

“I really have to work hard and develop my craft for me to be successful in life.” he says.

He adds that such a success would prove to others that with hard work, patience, and perseverance, everything will turn out well for them.

And, he says, most important is to have deep faith in God. “Hope in the lord. Then what you have been praying for will be answered,” he says with conviction.

Pag-asa ng Pamilya Scholarship Foundation, also founded by Bro. Rey Ortega, gives scholarships to various poor and persevering students. Aside from providing financial assistance, the foundation organizes motivational seminars for the scholars to encourage them to pursue their dreams.

Pag-Asa ng Pamilya Scholarship Foundation, Inc. aims to serve and glorify the Lord by serving the poor and helping them rise from poverty by means of helping provide primary, secondary and tertiary education to selected children.
