empauls: Ren, check it yourself first before you ask someone else... Are you a pagan or what? (2007-08-03 17:56:54)
mrs kim abbott: Bless you my dear It is by the grace of God that I received the lord known the truth, I Had no choice than to do what is lawful and right in the sight of God For internal life and in the sight of man for witness of God's mercy and glory upon my life. I am Mrs. Kim Abbott the wife of Mr. Vaat Abbott, I’m from the united state of america but my husband worked with the Chevron/Texaco in africa for twenty years before he died in the year 2003.We bouth live in africa Nigeria We were married for twenty-nine years without a child. My Husband died after a brief illness that lasted or only four days, before his death we were both born again Christians. Since his death I decided not tore-marry or get a child outside my matrimonial home, which the Bible is against. When my late husband was alive he deposited the sum of US $8.5M. (Eight Million and Five Hundred Thousand U.S. Dollars) with a Bank. Presently, this money is still with the bank and the management just wrote me as the Beneficiary to come forward to sign for the release of this money or rather issue! That somebody to receive it on my behalf if I cannot come over. I Presently, I'm in a hospital in Nether land where I have been Undergoing treatment for esophageal cancer. I have since lost my ability to Talk and my doctors have told me that I have only a few weeks to live. It Is my last wish to see this money distributed to charity organizations Any where in the World. Because relatives and friends have plundered so Much of my wealth since my ill! Ness, I cannot live with the agony of Entrusting this huge responsibility to any of them. Please, I beg you in The name of God to help me Stand and collect the Funds from the Bank. My dear I don't want people around me to know about this development. With God all things are possible. As soon as I receive your reply I shall Give you the contact of the Bank. Do reply to my email Yours in Christ, mrs kim abbott (2007-07-19 19:48:22)
ren: Thanks, PingJ. I'm currently reading The Screwtape Letter, and remember the case of Father Bill's preaching, and I think your response is head on. The devil won't stop at stopping us from getting closer to God. It so easy to speak about Joy, but I find that it's very hard to permanently have it. I think it's one of the main testament of our Faith, and I admit that I struggle on this one. Thanks, too, empauls. But your comment didn't really help. Read PingJ's comment, and ask yourself if you have the same joy that he mentioned. If you think/claim you are a Christian, you might want to check your attitude again. (2007-07-17 04:35:20)
PingJ: Bro. Ren, I believe even as we listen to preachers, we need the divine intervention of the Holy Spirit because the evil one will always try to find a way to steal our attention from receiving God's words of life. Preachers do take a lot of effort to get the audience listening, and making jokes is sometimes a more effective way to make the audience remember what the talk was all about because the joke got somebody's attention to the message. I do believe too that when we pray to God, we are communicating to our FATHER. I and my FATHER are quite close and I do believe He is one with the best sense of humor because he always finds a way to make me laugh and smile amidst my troubled times. I do believe too that those people in the audience listening to Fr. Bill were truly blessed because they had 40 minutes of laughter in the presence of God in these days where life is full of bitterness, anger and sadness. Those people had a blast with God, and I am just so thankful to Fr. Bill for joyfully carrying out the mission God has entrusted him. I pray brother Ren that may you find lots of laughter and joy in your heart. May you open the window of your life and allow the Holy Spirit to work in you. Praise be to God! (2007-07-15 15:16:34)
empauls: Ren, if you have any negative criticisms about a preacher, just keep it to yourself. Anyway, if you're not into Fr.Bill's way of preaching, it means that its not for you. Take a life... (2007-07-15 13:20:18)
coelacanth: Ren, i feel sorry for you that you don't see the message of the preaching. You are so focused on the small thing that's why you are not able to see the whole picture. About the "joking while praying" part, when you joke while talking to your dad, are you disrespecting him? you can't judge whether that prayer is wrong. You will not see the message if you keep on focusing on the "mistakes" that you see. Pray for wisdom. God will give it to you. Faith is believing. God Bless. (2007-07-15 01:25:21)
ren: Cris, thanks for the heads up. i'm in canada so i won't be able to easily drop by St. Antoninus. But I looked him up and he really seems to be good. But my comment is just based on my impression of his preaching featured here so I hope I am wrong. He also joked while praying (1:35). I've never witnessed that from a priest before (or from anyone for that matter) . I think prayer should be done with respect. I'm not trying to be a legalist. I am new in the Faith, but I am also vigilant and don't follow everything that I see/hear, even from someone very mature in faith. (2007-07-14 01:01:29)
Ging: Hello, I just wanna ask why there are lots of PBJ episodes that doesn't have an mp3 version thats why I couldn't download it. Thanks. I'll appreciate your response. (2007-07-14 00:29:02)
richard tecson frm. Quezon City: I hear Bro. Bo's introduction, but I don't hear Fr. Halbing's preaching... (2007-07-13 21:00:10)
Robert J. Pie: hi! fr. halbing this is Robert J.Pie & i just wanna say that I'm sorrie i couldn't attend the seminar u gave? (2007-07-13 08:39:19)
Robert J. Pie: hi! fr. bill sorrie i couldn't make it 2 the seminar? (2007-07-13 08:37:21)
cris: Bro Ren I guess you dont know Fr. Bill, he is a walking bible and knows hebrew, greek, latin etc. He is one of the most modern theologian of our times. If you want to really know him he is always doing a bible study at St. Antoninus in Newark NJ every Tuesday night. God Bless you Brother. (2007-07-13 07:29:19)
ren: (talking about the raven) "...Noah says Go! Go! Amen?" amen to what? I am so distracted with this preaching, the message is so unclear due to so many unnecessary (and pardon me, senseless) jokes and acts. I am not even sure what the talk is about. But I still do hope that those people where blessed by Fr. Bill's message in some way. (2007-07-13 05:56:15)
