stripe: thank you so much bro bo. may i share this thought from will rogers which i think have its way in helping us to be financially discipline "too many people spend money they haven't earned, to buy things they dont need, to impress people they dont like". let this thought enter our subconcious mind whenever we are in the midst of spending. ingat po lagi . God bless us all. (2007-01-25 18:46:42)
Joyjoy: i'm really amused with topics on financial literacy...thanks kfam for featuring mr.larry gamboa...hope we can listen to him here in cebu..probably via D'Feast...more power!!! (2007-01-25 14:53:37)
muirne: Just wanted to share this poem which came in the email .. THE U IN JESUS Before U were thought of or time had begun, God stuck U in the name of His Son. And each time U pray, you'll see it's true, You can't spell out JesUs and not include U. You're a pretty big part of His wonderful name, For U, He was born; that's why He came. And His great love for U is the reason He died. It even takes U to spell crUcified Isn't it thrilling and splendidly grand He rose from the dead, with U in His plan? The stones split away, the gold trUmpet blew, and this word resUrrection is spelled with a U. When JesUs left earth at His upward ascension, He felt there was one thing He just had to mention. "Go into the world and tell them it's true That I love them all - Just like I love U." So many great people are spelled with a U, Don't they have a right to know JesUs too? It all depends now on what U will do, He'd like them to know, But it all starts with U. (2007-01-25 10:55:05)
mcua: We are truly blessed to have you as our source of wisdom and strength. We also learn a lot from your guest speakers. Praise the Lord! Hearing your views about wealth and blessings made me understand my mixed feelings. Part of me hesitates to be very rich, exactly because of what you said, and yet God has given us so many blessings. Another part of me prays that I may learn how to be richer and create business for my extended families, so that they will have a regular source of income and ultimately a source of self-esteem, and believe that they can definitely do it on their own. Yes, we share our blessings to our families and beyond. But it doesn't seem enough to overcome the self-pity and anxieties of those who are not blessed, which I always pray we can defeat. What you said about our mentality is true. Thanks for the light, and I commit to be a source of inspiration to my family. (2007-01-25 08:11:44)
marizza: thank you bro bo for featuring people like dr gamboa from whom the middle income and poor can get advice and insights on how one should handle his finances. just like what one chinese businessman said: the problem w/ filipinos is that when they earn $s (like the ofw)they immediately buy this and that (appliances, furnitures, etc. and forget (or do not intend really?) to save. or invest in real estate. then they wake up one day, so desperate, coz he lost his job. and they come "begging" for financial assistant from relatives & friends. i pray, let's do away w/ this kind of mentality. (2007-01-25 06:42:15)
